EY's Smart Futures Programme

The EY Foundation (an independent charity founded by the professional services firm, Ernst & Young) is running a paid work experience programme for Year 12 students that meet the Pupil Premium criteria. Participation in this programme is at no cost to schools and is a valuable learning experience for students both in terms of going through an application process and also in terms of the interactive workshops that they will participate in.

Smart Futures is a ten month programme, which starts paid work experience and will have intakes in Easter and summer in 2016. Students will gain a variety of transferable skills that will give them a head start in their career. The programme can make students more employable, helping them to get a job after school or go onto higher education.

The programme is for:

  • Year 12 students in state schools
  • Students who have been eligible for free school meals within the past 6 years (i.e. household income is below £16,190 in England).
  • There are no academic entry criteria for the programme, but students do need to complete an online application

If you know interested in applying, click here for the link to the EY Foundation’s Smart Futures page. The deadline for applications is 31st January for the Easter programme and 27th March for the summer programme.
