Councillors say YES to YES!
The Bromley Youth Employment Scheme has been helping to tackle local youth unemployment since 2014 and has had some very positive outcomes for young people. The main achievement was to support over 130 NEET young people into confirmed employment which was sustained for at least six months. BEBP also provided valuable employability support for young people who are Looked After by the Council in the form of work experience placements in local and national organisations.
We are delighted that, due to the success, Council Members agreed on 6th December 2017 to continue funding the project for 2018. They were keen that there was still a key focus on supporting the Borough’s most vulnerable young residents.
