New Year – Next Steps!
The third in this academic year series of Next Steps employability events takes place at the Central Library, Bromley on Friday 10th February. Sixth form students from Chislehurst School for Girls, Kemnal Technology College and Bromley Orpington College will meet with a range of local and national employers. The aim of the day is to support young people who are not intending to go onto University when they finish their studies. Meeting representatives from industry helps them improve their understanding of the world of work and supports their transition to the workplace.
Representatives from HR at Direct Line Group, a major local employer of young people, will be attending to promote apprenticeship and job opportunities at their organisation. A number of construction related companies including Laing O’Rourke, Skanska and Mitie will also be there to provide information on the many and varied job roles within construction.
