Next Steps

Bromley Education Business Partnership's successful Next Steps event returned on Tuesday November 29th 2016 at its usual home of Bromley Central Library. Students from Darrick Wood attended the event alongside several young people receiving support as part of the Youth Employment Scheme project.

The event was a huge success for all that attended and in particular a young student from Charles Darwin School who is being supported by the YES project. The student contacted BEBP as she was unsure whether or not she wanted to continue with school and needed some advice and guidance around her future career prospects. She expressed an interest in finding an apprenticeship within Financial Administration and was invited to attend Next Steps. She made a strong impression on all the employers she met with one in particular praising her tenacity, enthusiasm and ability to 'ask the right questions'. The employer took the student's contact details and we are hopeful the connection they made will prove beneficial.

Thanks to all the employers and Community Volunteers that supported the event, BEBP looks forward to Next Steps events in 2017 and continued success in the future.
