BMI Steering Group

The Bromley Mentoring Initiative supports and co-ordinates a range of programmes which match young people with adults from the local or business community. It aims to raise achievement, promote social inclusion and support the development of key, basic and employability skills by supporting, encouraging and helping young people to realise and develop their potential. 

The Bromley Mentoring Initiative Steering Group meets regularly to discuss and guide the progress of programmes and provide strategic direction.  


Membership of the Steering Group includes the following invited representatives:

Cllr Kate Lymer - Portfolio Holder for Public Protection and Enforcement
Cllr David Cartwright - Councillor, Mottingham and Chislehurst North Ward
Tim Stevens - Community Member

Betty McDonald - Bromley Youth Support and Youth Offending Services (LBB)

Linda King - Bromley Youth Support Services (LBB)
Jane Belding - Bromley Education Business Partnership (LBB)
Lesley Holland - Bromley Education Business Partnership (LBB)
Amanda Mumford - Community Safety (LBB)

Steering Group meetings are normally held 3 times a year, with extra meetings called as required.
