  • Free Dyson workshops for schools

    From May this year Dyson are offering a practical workshop in school for sixth form students who have a desire to study engineering at HE.  The group of between 10 and 20 students from Year 12 or 13 MUST be studying ‘A’ Level Maths and one other STEM subject to qualify.     Special Next Steps Event – 8th February 2019

    Bromley EBP's employer partners supported an event on 8th February at the Central Library in Bromley.  This session was targeted at young people referred to us from a range of LBB support agencies and other settings, who may have specific challenges accessing employment.  33 young people from Glebe School, Bromley Beacon Academy, Bromley Virtual School and the Home & Hospital Tuition Service came along to meet our local and national business partners who helped them be better prepared for their transition to the world of work.   • Employers go back to school for the day!

    Employers go back to school for the day!

    BEBP volunteer Business Ambassadors and employers including Bell Group, Direct Line Group, Hand Picked Hotels and Thames Water went back to school on Tuesday 26th March!  They spent the day at Langley Park School for Boys in Beckenham helping a small group of Year 11 students better understand the world of work and specifically their options once they leave after their exams this summer.  The students worked in small groups supported by our volunteers with the main focus around producing a CV they could use when applying for opportunities.  Peter Morris from Thames Water...

  • Thanks to our employer partners!

    Once again our local and national employer partners stepped up to the mark by volunteering to help support young people from Bromley schools.  55 sixth form students from Bullers Wood and Hayes who do not intend to go onto University when they finish their studies came along to meet the employers at BEBP’s Next Steps event on Friday 8th March.  The aim of the event was for business representatives to provide support with the students’ employability skills and their transition to the workplace.  London South East Colleges provided information on the range of apprenticeship opportunities available to them and how best to apply.  DWP gave some very practical tips on using social media to help with job see...
