Bromley Regional ‘Speak Out’ Final

18 talented young people from Bromley schools came together last night at Coopers School along with teachers, parents, friends and supporters for the regional final of the ‘Speak Out’ challenge.

Each Bromley secondary school sent a Year 11 representative to the event which was hosted by Olivia from Coopers School who won this regional final last year.  The speakers had all been involved in public speaking sessions at their school delivered by professionals from the Speak Out team which is sponsored by Jack Petchey.

All the Year 11 students were great ambassadors for their schools delivering fascinating and thoughtful speeches on a range of subjects with passion and confidence. After some difficult judging the following received particular recognition:

Third:                      Ife Alabi from Bishop Justus CofE School with his speech ‘Young People’

Runner up:             Erin Hartley from Charles Darwin School with her speech ‘Failure ain’t fatal!’

Regional Champion: Tanesh Varatharajan from Hayes School with his speech ‘The Truth behind strict parents’

Our congratulations go to all the young people for their hard work and dedication and if you want to find out more visit www.speakoutchallenge.com
