Jobs/Careers Event for young people

35 local and national employers from a range of employment sectors promoted their current vacancies for young people at the Jobs/Careers Fair organised by Bromley EBP in partnership with the DWP.  The event took place on Friday 12th July in the Central Library, Bromley with over 120 young people (16-24) dropping in to meet the employers during the morning.  The Mayor, Cllr Nicholas Bennett officially opened the event at 10.00am and then spent a lot of time talking with the employers and training providers who were there.

This is the fourth annual Jobs Fair organised by Bromley EBP and we were delighted to have some key local employers present including Clarion Housing Group, JTL Training, Link Asset Services, Mytime Active, Santander and Specsavers.

Springboard UK Limited were there to help promote hospitality, leisure and tourism as a great place to work with representatives from Firmdale Hotels and the Ivy Collection offering information on their apprenticeship opportunities in the sector.

We were pleased this year to have uniformed members of the Fire Brigade and Army on hand to talk with young people about what a career might look like in one of these services and how to apply.
