Dragons fly into Ravens Wood

Employers from a range of local and national business organisations took on the role of ‘Dragons’ at the enterprise activity delivered to Year 9 students from Ravens Wood School on Thursday 16th May.

The aim of the event was to help develop essential employability skills such as team working, communication, creativity and presentation through an enterprise activity based on the BBC Dragons Den programme.  The young people worked in groups to design a soft drink for a target audience together with a marketing campaign to support the launch.  Each form group was supported through the morning by two of our employer volunteers – the ‘Dragons’.

The feedback from tutors at the school was very positive and there was a ‘buzz’ about the event later that day.

Thanks to our business ambassadors for giving up their time to work with the young people including Bell Group, Chicane School of Motoring , Department for Work & Pensions, Direct Line Group, Thackray Williams and our community volunteers.
