Students get a Taste of the World of Work
Students from across the Borough had the opportunity to find out first hand about vocational courses and career options at our taster session on Friday 12th February. Professionals from a broad range of sectors provided inter-active workshops to raise students’ awareness of the skills and qualifications required in today’s workplace. We were grateful to teams from Bromley MyTime, Cleverbox Design Agency and LBB IT Department as well as Science and Engineering Ambassadors who gave up their time to support the event.
Students also had an opportunity to find out more about the range of vocational courses and careers information which was provided by the DCSF and Bromley Connexions.
Feedback from students and teachers was excellent and showed that they enjoyed the sessions covering sport and active leisure, health and social care, creative and media, IT and engineering.
