LBB helps inspire young people

Bromley Education Business Partnership is now coordinating London Borough of Bromley’s work experience scheme. We are receiving a high number of applications and the first group of work experience students have just completed their placements.

The students, from Langley Park School for Girls, completed placements which were matched to their interests. We would like to thank Liberata (Customer Services), Admissions (Education), Strategic and Business Support Services, Trading Standards and Bromley Children Project for giving the young people an opportunity to experience the world of work.

Chloe, who worked with Strategic and Business Support Services in her first week, before going on to Trading Standards for her second week, really enjoyed her placement. She spent her first week doing analytical and mapping work on Google Maps, and her second week undertaking administrative duties. She also had the opportunity to attend inspections with Trading Standards, which was something she was really looking forward to.

Chloe said, “My work experience has been good – the prospect of working for Trading Standards really excited me. It has made me realise that, for now, I don’t like sitting at a desk all day; I like to be out and about”.

We are currently processing applications and placing more students in a range of departments across the Council. If you are interested in doing work experience with the London Borough of Bromley, please download the application form here. To be eligible for this scheme you must be a Bromley resident or attend a Bromley school, and require a work experience as part of your school’s scheme.
