LBB Work Experience 2016/17

Bromley Education Business Partnership continues to coordinate the Council’s work experience scheme. This year, we received 64 applications from students in years 10, 11 and 12.

Max Mulcahy, work experience placements coordinator, worked tirelessly to promote the value of work experience and managed to secure placements in a range of departments including Planning, Transport, Libraries, IT, Bromley Children Project, Democratic Services and Adult Social Care. Feedback from managers and students was very positive.

Sandie Vince (Orpington Library Supervisor) took on Rachael for one week and described her as "an excellent work experience student - one of the best we've had"

Daniel spent a week with LBB's Planning Division. Tim Horsman (Planning Development Control Manager) gave the following feedback "it has been a pleasure having Daniel spend a week with us - he is a polite and friendly person and I hope he has got something from the time has spent here."

Three students from Coopers (pictured) completed work experience at The Link Youth Centre. Tyler described his experience: "I got a real sense of satisfaction working at my local youth centre and I learnt some new team work skills with my fellow students."

David and Liam (pictured) completed their work experience placements with LBB's Legal Department and Democratic Services respectively. They were both very positive and described their experiences as "informative and enjoyable". Liam also had the opportunity to spend some time at Bromley EBP's Jobs Fair at Bromley Central Library on 14th July 2017.

Bromley EBP would like to thank all managers/departments that offered placements and look forward to another successful round of placements when the application process re-opens in September 2017.
